My first Watkins

After years of hearing rave reviews about Marlins fiddle boxes I had to get one. Things finally worked out and I got this gorgeous call this week it's Macassar over Blue Mahoe! Needless to say I'll be getting on the list for two more very soon thinking Snakewood over Holly for one but if anyone has a good suggestion or two I'd appreciate your input!

Good start there!  Every combo marlin makes is great.  I think Marlin in the best at understanding what woods to pair up.

Very nice. I just got my snakewood over holly in from him. I have several of his fiddle boxes and have not found one that was bad yet. Marlin and richard hudson are my 2 favorite box call makers.
