I shot lead until Polywad and the innovations of Jay Menafee w/ HTL shotshells. Your shells are one of the least expensive components of your hunt, all things considered, yet, the most important if you want to consistently kill gobblers. Find the best patterning shell, regardless of the cost, for your gun/choke combo for ranges of 20-40 yards, shoot a lot at various ranges and get completely comfortable w/ your gun and its performance. I've killed a bunch of turkeys w/ lead, but the best lead shells made, today and in the past, do not equal the ballistics and performance of the better HTL loads on the market today.
