Getting Ready
« on: January 29, 2019, 06:22:16 AM »
FL south zone opens 3/2.  Refreshed the speed loaders and double checked the TK.  Decided to stick with the Knight load of 2 1/2 oz of #5 or #6 lead pushed by 100gr of Goex BP.  Adding an extra slip on recoil pad makes the recoil tolerable.  Next good weather day I'll take a few practice/patterning shots.  Our game cameras have them strutting.  I heard light gobbling from some jakes last week.  Be here before you know it.  Good luck to all.

TIME FLIES - already mid March and FL season well underway.  Lucky to have taken one bird with my 870 but the TK2000 now out of the safe for use the balance of 2019.  Weather has been very wet so far but I think Knight's system should be ok even if caught in a rain storm.  I can remember a few deer hunts with my #11 capped T/C Renegade that required several tries to clear it at the end of the day.  We'll see.
