Cocobolo in general is so beautiful, I buffed the shine off of it before putting another coat on and it looks awesome in satin too. If a guy wanted it with no sheen it would look great too.

If you keep it wrapped up in something, it'll probably stay like that for a long time.

Yeah, it will darken slightly over time(keeping light off of it slows down the process), but I think Cocobolo looks great as it darkens anyway.

I have Cocobolo in the shop that has not changed color much at all in 7-8 years, it was re-sawn into guitar backs & is still unfinished.

I've seen some really exotic looking, neat looking colors in Cocobola
Being oily wood I would think it would change in colors to , towards darkness in a short time frame

You are right, no doubt it will tend to darken over time......here is a Cocobolo guitar I built years ago, between re-sawing the billet, storing the wood, building the guitar, and finishing it, there was 2 years on this Cocobolo in open air and it still looked pretty vibrant.
