A week or two ago I was going through my hoard of pot calls, and came across my Halloran double glass.  I got to playing it, and thought man this sounds good.  Tried a ton of strikers on it, and most everything I put to it sounded good.  Got me wondering why I haven't hunted it, so it will likely see vest time next year.

What is a pot that you have underestimated or think is underrated?

My Halloran ceramic, great sounding pot but I just don't hunt it as much as I should.

I have an older cane creek poplar aluminum pot call that is the best aluminum call I have ever put a striker on.

I've got a HS Double slate over glass that's actually a good call. I don't use it anymore since I started making my on.

Under-rated? Tuscarora Legend Turkey Calls. All made in the DD Adams tradition.
A quality paddle caller will most run itself.  It just needs someone to carry it around the woods. Yoder409
Over time...they come to learn how little air a good yelper actually requires. ChesterCopperpot

I have several that I don't hear much about but feel they are great calls Yingling cast pot Titanium over slate. Gooserbat High Standard crystal, Chris Brumfiel glass over slate in an Osage pot. Ricky Padgett crystal over slate in walnut. SS bronzed glass, Scott Hock slate over slate. Misfire glass over aluminum, and Rugged calls glass over glass in walnut. Forgot a few I'm sure. Oh yeah Footballers pots crystal over slate and crystal over aluminum in tigerwood are great

Rover is right,,the HS Strut dbl slate over glass "original" is a great turkey killer regardless of plastic and price tag.

I suggested this to a few friends last year. They had a lot of success with this call.  Really good sound...
