hey thanks boys! Thanks for posting the link as well.
Was a tough week weather wise with everything from wind, rain, cold temps but we did have some nice weather as well.
I'm getting to know the land after hunting down there for 5 years and so my hands are not near as cut up from the briars

I came close on a second longbeard but the joys of state land got me on that hunt. I made a move on some gobbling birds and got set up only to realize I was only 50 yds off the road above me on top of the ridge. Called a couple longbeards to 50 yds but with too much trash I had to get them another 15 yds or so. The birds were gobbling and strutting until the truck pulls up at the road. No doubt they were somewhere and heard the gobbling. The engine stops and so do the birds. The birds turn and walk away and I guess when they didn't hear anymore gobbling the truck starts up and drives off

One of the features of public land you have to deal with.
I had another going on Thursday and figured him out for the next day. My buddy had not killed a bird yet and he knew this holler better than I did so i went in with him next day and he killed that gobbler. That was a fun hunt and completed a clean sweep for the 3 of us.
Here is my buddies birds. First one shot Monday morning and second one was Friday morning.

Here's what some of the roads looked like after the heavy rains

Goofing around with the QB "Road Warrior" trying to roost a bird in the evening

And some more serious locating going on next day

Now it's time for the Ontario season. I have to work today and tomorrow to get caught up a bit and then back at 'er on Wednesday. Look out Ontario Gobbler's.....the Ontariogobbler is coming to git ya EH!
