I love quarter sawn Sycamore. I've got 2 long boxes, a short box and have another long box on order.
Stumpy makes a heck of a ceramic pot. I often carry one of his Cherry ceramics hunting.
No trees were hurt in the sending of this message, however a large number of electrons were highly inconvenienced.

What one sounds better is always subjective. What I was looking for was, which one is the better SELLER. Walnut or Maple. Best selling, most popular, whatever you want to call it.

noisy box call that seems to sound like a flock of juvenile hens pecking their way through a wheat field

Of all my Pot Calls, Stumpy's Cermanic was the only call I could play on those damp mornings with a wood striker. All my other calls needed a carbon or aluminum striker. Huge benefit in my opinion because I dont care for the carbon or aluminum tipped strikers.

Stumpy's Walnut Ceramic bumped a couple pots out of my vest this year that where go to calls. Very realist turkey in that pot.

I got my sycamore and walnut pots yesterday. Both are awesome calls, but I am definitely sold on the sycamore. I think you would be hard pressed to find a better ceramic than either of these. Thank you Chad for the killer pots.
