Before I discovered this site, I had zero custom calls. A few months later, and there a 30+! I blame you all. Sure is fun though! Have some Daybreak and Brad Roberts calls on the way as well. Suggestions on where to go from here?

Any particular brand/maker you'd recommend starting with?

Great collection, some great calls there.  Send me that Halloran Twisted Sister and I'll give her a try in the woods the next two weeks.  I have the Mistress and she sings, just want to gauge the TS against it.  LOL.  This obsession is ADDICTING and COSTLY!!!!!

My personal favorite Billy Buice. There are lots of good makers out there though (KP, Permar, Cox, Hornstra to name a few of them). Get one from a maker that has a reputation and resale won't be a problem if you don't like it. Here is what I have so far. I have 3 new calls coming this week though.

Wow! Those are some beautiful calls! I'll keep a lookout for a trumpet by one of those guys you mentioned and give it a try. Thanks for the info.

Colossians 3:12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

While some may think you have a problem, others will just consider that to be whats in the corner of their shelf.
Trumpets are the way to go.

Eorlando - who makes the snakewood?  Great collection of Billys calls.

Midwest Turkey Supply has some made by Darryl Gosey. Can also get from him on here and on his facebook page I think. I recently purchased one of his from a guy locally. Its my first trumpet and it seems easy to play but I have practiced some with wing bones, yelpers, and river canes. His are very nice trumpets and are very reasonably priced especially for the quality.

tha bugman

beautiful calls on this thread!!!
