I do not think that the lack of a flop speaks to the deadliness of the load...  I would guess that it would possibly indicate a heart shot?

I have shot the heads clean off a couple of birds (as in vaporized), and they still flopped (a lot)...  I shot the top half of the head off a bird a couple years ago, and he was bouncing off the ground flopping.  I do not think that it was the shot material that made them flop, I think it was the instant shock to the nervous system...

I have no doubt that TSS is great stuff, and probably the top choice in shot material currently.

What happens when you cut off a chicken or snake's head?  Watch some of the videos of they guys that use the gobbler guillotine type broadheads.  The turkey's head is completely gone and they still flop.

Out here in the open country of Montana the birds often don't come in close. The 60 yard bird wasn't coming any closer and was walking away. The 50 yard bird was coming in closer, but I wanted to see if that first long range kill was a fluke or not.

I've used it in handlods for years now.  S long as I can get it I'll use it. In fact I'm sitting on a 10-15 yet supply of shot now.

I've killed a lot of turkeys with Hevi #7s and watched a lot die with Hevi #5s. Some of these birds flopped and some didn't. There's a big difference in #5s and #7s and Hevi hits very hard. It has to be something with shot placement and with the nervous system of the bird. This is IMO and through my observations.
