It was a grind but my brother in law and myself both took a Rio this week. He shot his on Monday, and it was actually a banded bird Oklahoma State University had banded. Really cool stuff! The rest of the week has been a battle with hens and jake gangs and very little gobbling after the typical morning gobbling. Finally on our last day I was able to shoot one myself around 11:00. Crawled into his bubble behind a strutter decoy and ended up shooting him at 10 steps. We'll be headed back to Florida in the morning thankful for another blessed out of state trip!

Congratulations to you both. I will be going to OK spring 2020 to visit family and turkey hunt, I am looking forward to it.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
