I hesitate a little to present this report to you, but I believe that you guys need to know this. Here is the generalized team scoring status, number of registered birds and average score as of 4/23/18.
1. Crusaders - 583 (9 @ 64.79)
2. The Roaring 20's - 499 (8 @ 62)
3. Gods of Thunder - 446 (7 @ 63.7)
4. Purrpetrators - 440 (7 @ 62.79)
5. Limbhangers - 365 (6 @ 60.79)
6. Spur Collectors - 332 (6 @ 55.3)
7. Widow Makers - 234 (4 @ 58.5)
8. Strut Stoppers - 207 (4 @ 51.79)
9. Guns and Hoses - 166 (3 @ 55.3)
The Gods of Thunder and Purrpetrators are very close behind, but a 2 year old from either one would put them ahead of us. We still have 1 more bird to post at full score and then start upgrading. Upgrading increases the total team score only by the difference which is usually in smaller increments.
On the other front, we are 87 points behind the Crusaders, which can be reached by a great bird and several good upgrades.
Although this year's scoring presently puts us in great shape, this contest is not over by a long shot and I know that there will be solid changes to the positions before the end. We are all fully capable of calling in to gun and ruining the day of ridiculously big gobblers with our chosen shotguns. We need, as a team, to pick out and hunt specifically for that biggest bully Gobbler in your woods, outwit his walnut sized survival brain and end his reign of terror in the spring woods. Out-think, out-maneuver, out-last, and out-man him. Now is the time to fully gun your engines and believe that we can still take this contest away from everyone else here.
