In need of 1187 shurshot advice

I got a 1187 compact 20 gauge on the way. I want to add a shurshot butt stock. Do I need a 1187 one or will the 870 shurshot fit? Only need the butt not forarm. Wasn't sure due to action spring tube in butt if 870 would fit. Thanks.
