Hey guys,  After this morning of calling in two coyotes and not getting a shot off and my blind being ripped apart by the wind it was a frustrating morning.  I decided to go out about three o'clock to another place I just got permission by a friend.  I was just 100 yards off road where I park and along tractor trail and decided to do a series of yelps.  I did and boom he hammered off below me not more then 75 yards away.  I quick found a tree and sat down and shut up,  waited a little longer and made two soft yelps and he hammered again this time about 30 yards away coming up the hill towards me,  I could here him coming through brush and my gun was up and ready.  I caught a little movement out of corner of my right eye and there was a big gobbler that snuck in from behind me at 15 yards looking for the phantom hen.  Oh sh--  I said to myself because he was to my right.  The big gobbler lost interest and turned around and dissappeared where he came from.  I thought oh well the bird in front of me will appear any moment and nothing.  I waited about an hour and half and snuck out of there until tommorrow morning.  Maybe the one tom coming to me saw the big boy and wanted nothing to do with him and snuck the other way.  needless to say if was an exciting hunt this afternoon.  Scoot

Sounds like you have a plan. Go get him. :fud:
No trees were hurt in the sending of this message, however a large number of electrons were highly inconvenienced.

Stay after him partner, it'll come together. Watch out for them boss hens though, they like to try to steal them old gobblers away.
