Waiting for the tenor
« on: March 26, 2018, 07:37:03 AM »
Well now this is frustrating. I can't find a bird who wants to talk, much less play. My public land honey holes, where I heard gobblers 3 weekends ago, have gone mausoleum quiet as far as turkeys are concerned. I did hear some yelping yesterday morning, but it turned out to be another hunter hunting me. Public hunting. The season is far from over, but I would love to hear one telling the news some morning, and soon.

Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

I haven’t been able to get in the woods for nearly a week so I feel your pain. Hang in there, better days coming.

If it helps Norman I haven't heard one and a few buddies, the last few day on private land!
