My alps deception blind arrived today. Immediately, I see some issues.
The back where the zipper door is, has no hub. Not sure why they even incorporated a door???
I plan on leaving it zipped up and just lifting it up and over my seat.
That being said, without a hub on the back, it's VERY loose and in the slightest breeze, the back will flap like nobody's business.
The windows slide for adjustment, which is good, but their are only two hooks on each window to connect the bottom and top halves of the windows, which don't secure tight at all. Leaving the windows loose as well.
Comes with a bag to pack it up in that has straps to shoulder it like a backpack. Not going to use that bag. The blind has a built in strap sewn to the inside that cinches up and secures it together. It will lay across the back pouch of a vest easily eliminating the step of having to unzip and unpack and pack it back up in a bag. A couple of little bungees and I'm going to strap the folded blind and lounger seat together to pack them in and out.
On a rainy day without wind, it will do it's job but the blind could definitely use some improvements.
