I just bought a Stevens model 79, 28" ribbed vent barrel with a fixed modified choke, dark wood and in great shape. I don't need it but I got it at a reasonable price. But what caught my eye was that it looks like the barrel is oversized. I don't have a caliper to measure it though. I can't find much info on the internet so I'll ask you tellers what you think or what do you know about it. TIA
