My daughter and I are making some pot calls, first attempts. What are some of your favorite surface/ sound board combos and in what pot material. If I actually get a good sounding one, I will let Shannon give one away, lol. Odds are low though, I kill a few birds but am not that skilled. Thanks in advance for your input ????????

I am going to try a double slate in a wenge pot to start with and I will experiment from there. My 11 year old daughter has a plan, LOL.  I asked her if she knew what she wanted to do and she said, " I am making a slate over purpleheart sound board in a maple pot with a cherry striker with a corn cob top of course". I had no response except, " OK then, good luck". I hope it works, she sure talked a good story. Any more favorite pots, give me a shout. Thanks, Al Baker

Walnut and Osage are two of my favorite wood choices and they go great with many surface combinations
