Alot of the land I hunt the landowners consider turkeys as pests and can't understand why I waste my time hunting them. So far this has been good for me in accessing property to turkey hunt.Now their deer is a whole different story.

This is about spot on with their family! When I asked him if I could hunt it, he didn't hesitate to say yes and told me to kill them all. Right deer is a whole different story...I don't have permission to deer hunt the same woods bc someone already hunts it and all the other woods they own.

I would tread carefully.. he is letting you hunt "his" land ..

I have a landowner that shoots them with rifles if he catches them out in the fields and brags about it to me.. but I still manage to kill a bird or two off the place each year the correct way.. I don't say a word and congatulate him instead..

really? there's no need to encourage such behaviour. if he does it, thats on him. but to congratulate him on an illegal(at least in my area) method of killing turkeys is a bit much.

It is not Illegal in my state.. I wish it were .. yes I congratulate him.. private land is hard to come by around these parts .. so yes I do congratualte him.. even if I don't agree with it... and really don't mean it ..

I sure as hell am not going to congratulate him lol but I didn't let him know how I really felt either. I simply replied back that I didn't find it amusing. Like I said he's a good friend of mine and this is the only place I have to turkey hunt. Inside I was fuming but I'm not going to let it ruin a friendship and lose my hunting woods over it.

Gobbler!  Could be one of those gobbling hens though.

That bird does look alive but I think it's a hen.
Back whem I was milking cows, I use to chase coyotes and skunks on the 4 wheeler, but to chase a turkey or deer trying to run over them is just wrong. Shaw I agree with protecting your hunting rights but maybe you can some how let him know that, that was a bad thing  in your eyes.
