I went by Mr ML Walker's house today and boy was I amazed at some off the work he has done. This man has made crow calls for years, he is 83 years old. He also shown me some of the shotgun stocks he has made, out standing art and craftsmanship. Then he begin to show me some of the fiddles that he has made, all some work , if I played the fiddle I would have one, if any body plays one and is interested in one let me know and I will give you his phone , he said he would sell the fiddles for $500 each, don't know much about fiddles but for a hand crafted piece that is a low price to me . He has leukemia and some spots of skin cancer but he is doing ok. I did pick up some of his crow calls.

I love old people and I mean that with respect, wisdom. I went by an old timers house other day to ask about turkey hunting his land I didn't get permission but he said boy come in and sit down I will be out in a minute. Told me war stories and the good old days stories. Just to sit with them old timers and listen to em is worth every spare second we can get with em.

Amen! My mentor was the best and I sure do miss him.  I think this will be the 3rd spring with him gone.  He made his own calls, and was a deadly woodsman all around.

The Dad of my old hunting buddy was one man I truly enjoyed talking to. We would spend hours talking. He was a pro union man. I would pick on him about he unions. He would tell me about the railroads in Va. when there was no unions. About his hunting as a young adult. I truly wished I had spent more time with him. Miss him and his son...my old hunting buddy.
