FINALLY!!!!!!!

Finally got on the board this weekend! My buddy and I went down to my camp in Florida. First morning we walked up on a pile of birds including the two dead in the picture. They were henned up in a field so we waited and waited and two hours later they finally got close enough for us to take a double. He shot first and when he did the other immediately went to spur the bird, so I shot him! That was my friend's first bird! The next bird we saw strutting in a swampy area one afternoon.  We crawled on hands and knees through a creek bottom for over a hundred yards until we got close. We got prone and called and he hammered back about three times. Then we purred and it was game over. He topped the road at about seven yards!!! Had to make a quick switch and shoot him left handed but the nova got the job done! Pretty successful weekend!!!

My buddy's bird had inch spurs and 11 inch beard. My first bird had inch and 1 1/8 spurs and 10 1/2 inch beard. My second bird had 1 1/8 and 1 1/4 spurs and 9 1/2 inch beard. Just realized I forgot the stats! haha
