Choke for TSS 3.5"?

Go with straight 9's in TSS, you won't be sorry.  I shoot the straight 7's in Hevi-13's with a .670 PG out of a 835 and they destroy turkeys.  You'll probably need to open up with TSS to .690 to .710 but others can give you better info then I can.  Good Luck with TSS.

what pattern you want.  670 give the hot core.   690 range give the even hunting pattern

Nitro recommended a .660 or .670 for my gun. Not sure what kind of pattern you like, whether that be high numbers in a 10, or a super even 10 and 20" ring at 40yrds. What you like would depend on what choke you choose.
.660-.675 will give you the higher numbers tighter core where as the .690-.700+ will give you more open even patterns

It'll be a turkey choke, not a paper choke. I don't want it so tight where it'll be easy to miss up close shots. That being said, I want to be able to reach out and touch one if needed.

I would say in the high .660's to .680. It will really depend on what ounce load too. 2oz of 8's shot good for me in a benelli and mossburg 535 right between a .665 and .670 constriction and a 2oz load of 7's worked well right around a .675 constriction. It also depends on how the choke is designed. I do think I would start around .675.

Im shooting 2.5 oz of 8`s ...APEX recommended a 665 IC so that where I started , now this out out of an invector plus gun.

Not to hijack but I had same question as OP.  So based on the recommendations, what are some brands of chokes out there in the .670 - .690 range?  Most I'm seeing seem to be in the .660-.665 range.

I'm using a 870 with 2.5oz of #9s and a .675 Indian Creek. I tired a .665 my pattern was 549 in the 10" circle and another 262 in the 20". Pattern had some holes in it so I wanted to open it up a bit. Called Indian Creek they had a .675 so I decided to try it. Got a 500/300 pattern that was very even.

Call Indian Creek. They can custom make chokes for you. I consider them to be the best from a customer service and performance stand point.

Thanks Gobble.  I was looking at Indian Creek but only saw .665 on their website.  Didn't know they'd do custom, and wasn't seeing other brands out there with in that range.

I will be reloading some TSS for myself this coming week. Hearing these numbers is crazy to me and makes me excited. I was excited when my shotgun was putting just over 140 pellets at 45 yards with lead. To hear you saying numbers in the 300-500 range is crazy. ill be loading #8s as that is what is legal here in NY.
