I Have purchased and own several different types of pots with different surfaces. I wanted to see what you guys suggest for some new strikers to try out. I have several different types of strikers already but just wanted to see what you guys recommend and what are your go to strikers?

The surfaces I use are:
Slate
Glass
Copper
Aluminum
Crystal

Bill Lyman dymondwood if you can find one, tulipwood, macassar ebony, B&W ebony, yellowheart, snakewood, and persimmon. All of the above are outstanding and I have many more from Bill that are just as good.

I have heard nothing but great things about Bill Lyman but my suggestion is to the wood choices only
Tulip wood
Osage
Bloodwood
Black Locust
Carbon fiber for wet
Hickory
Purple Heart are all great choices and I know I left some out

ASH, Rosewood, Dymondwood, Fiddle back maple and for sure Hook Gobble sticker in Ipe this is a must regardless of any other striker you could own , you can order this striker from Midwest turkey supply

Matt McLain strikers are some mighty fine strikers. His Black Locust is great on slate and other surfaces.
I like Halloran's Ipe on my Crystal calls
Diamond wood on aluminum.
Bloodwood on glass.

jimmy w

seem to keep going to my Fowler snakewood for my choice

idratherb

macassar ebony and rosewoods Id add, be careful to not over do it. Get a couple good ones and be done with it. If your not careful you'll end up with a shoe box full of strikers..
