Look up Greg Simons at Wildlife Systems Inc. He has several leases on big ranches and very nice accomodations for ya. Great people.
Also look up Lanny Vinson of Vinson Ranches ph# (325) 668-7297.
Good Luck!

Keep in mind that Texas terrain can vary greatly and will likely impact your hunt. The southern part of the state is relatively flat with heavy mesquite. North and West of San Antonio/Austin is the hill country and has rolling hills with a mix of live oaks, cedar and mesquite. West of Sonora and it gets flat again... east of Dallas there's pine timber. I personally hunt the hill country and find it amazing in the spring. I've not hunted with Greg Simons but spoke with him at length about a property he was representing for lease. He impressed me as a knowledgeable guy and was friendly. He's in the hill country... hope this helps and good luck with your hunt!

Ive hunted with Magnum guide service. Never again. Steer clear of Paul Moore of Hill Top ranch as well. If you need references on either one of those guys feel free to message my FB Jeff Lacey
Ive hunted with John Austin a lot down around Cotulla, Cochina ranch, awesome place
