FL public draw hunts

Buddy and I are looking into a draw hunt in FL.  Do any of you guys have any experience with them?  I realize we missed the boat this year but we wanna get our ducks in a row for next.  Will we get drawn the first year or does it take a few?  I smoked and Osceola a couple years ago on public land but my buddy didn't get one so we wanna go back but on a draw hunt.
