Took this fine longbeard on April 14 2011. I was hunting in South Carolina on Broken Arrow Hunt Club. I took him at 4:20 p.m. I called him with my SS Custom Wormy Maple Burl Slate Caller with a Goncola Alves Striker and a Hook's Custom Mouth Caller "The Pro". He weighted 20 lbs. 6 oz. with a 10 " beard and 1 1/8" spurs on each leg. He came in strutting and gobbling. Awesome day in the spring woods.

Congratulations - that's two for you so far, isn't it?
"I admire a good turkey hunter chiefly because such a man displays qualities that we usually associate with pioneer America-patience, enthusiasm, woodcraft, game sense, and a quiet hardihood undaunted by rain, by cold, by long tough miles, by disappointment."

That's a nice bird you got there.

And here I thought you were going to tell a story about shooting a bird with a broken arrow sticking out of it. LOL!

Yes two so far. But the first up was that jake I thought was a mature bird. This one is going on the score board. Thanks for the comments, Mike
