Arkansas turkey season is opening this weekend and I thought I was gunna get the short end of the stick like last year. Haven't heard a bird within 300 yards of my property lines until last weekend. Finally, Saturday morning I heard 4 right on the line. 3 of them have been all over my property where we just burned about 10 acres. 1 is on the other end of the property and he is flying over the line and spending his day in our hardwoods.
Sunday morning heard a bird closer to the house that couldn't be in a better spot...but I went there this morning and didn't hear a peep....no worries though.
Gunna be a tough year though...gotta carry a customer for his first ever turkey hunt in some woods that I haven't ever been to before on the second weekend, so that only leaves
4 DAYS OF HUNTING FOR ME?!?!?!?!?!.
Just glad that I have made it to see another year.
