Im torn between the Avian X LCD decoys and the Flextone thunder series hen/jake. Im looking into getting one or the other just would like some input on how these hold up, and bring in the birds. I know Avian has a good paint job  i can say there duck deeks hold up well, How about  the flextone? Avians are pretty much double in price as well. Any thoughts would be great.

It looks ridiculous, but the "Funky Chicken" combined with your choice of hen decoy. I'm telling you these NE Florida gobblers will come running! I used it without a hen and had 2 big gobblers come 250yds across a cut over to me, but wouldn't get any closer than 75yds. If I'd of taken my time and put my hen out I could've doubled up.

Ive used primos b-mobile for years till a buddy let me borrow his Funky Chicken. It's a lot easier to carry and it works just as good if not better.

Don't buy any, save your money for a hunting trip next year. You don't need them.

Just kidding ya...

You didn't list the most obvious answer... DSD No Debate Needed

But within the choices listed I would go with the Flextone and save yourself the money, If you were going to spend the money on an Avian-X then I would spend it to get the DSD's

Funky is fun.  Last season needed a bird for the roaster real bad and had "Funk" out in a  central FL pasture at 2pm.  Eleven jakes attacked him.  One paid the price  :z-guntootsmiley:

I'd say go with the Avians.... A small part of me believes all the DSD guys are slightly jealous with the incredible decoys Avian has made for half the price. Then again I've never hunted DSD but I know the reviews speak for themselves, if money isn't an issue I'd go with them. But when every dollar counts I believe the absolute best value would be to go buy Avians fast and free on eBay for like $65 each.

The flextone feeding hen looks better than their upright hen.  I actually just bought their feeding hen to compliment my Dakota upright hen and jake.  I've heard several reports of birds attacking the funky jake, so I may need to pick one up for my vest when I'm running and gunning.

You would think that the funky chicken would spook birds, but I might get one of those just to see a good whip pen take place. That would be hilarious.
