Couple killa's from NH!
May 05, 2017, 03:49:33 AM
Hey guys!
Well, our NH season has started of very well!
My youngest, Maddie took a nice 3 year old on Saturday of youth weekend!
It was an awesome hunt! My oldest, Harrison ended up calling 3 toms within range, and my Maddie smoked the lead tom! 17 lbs, 9" beard, and marching 1" spurs!
Next up it was Harrison.
We were hunting a field yesterday, and at about 10:15 heard a gobble about 300 yards up in a field above us.
15 minutes later his season was done. 18 lbs, 8" beard, 1/2" spurs!
Very proud of my kids!
Now I battle the cool weather, and rain to hopefully punch my tag!
Trying to post pics, but photobucket is being a PIA!
Good luck to all hunters still out there!

I remember that when I joined the forum you were setting up a youth gun for H, now he's calling in birds for his sister. So awesome !
Good luck on your hunts CB

mentoring the youth is the most rewarding hunting I do. great to see others doing it as well. I think we make our best decisions strategically when we are trying to pass the knowledge on. I do anyway. good job

good job

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons. However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
