blind question

Never hunted much out of a blind but calling for 3 straight days of rain here in pa would putting  up a pop up blind in a timber edge same morning as hunt spook the turkeys

In my opinion............no.
They don't seem to mind them for some unknown reason.
I'm glad I'm in my blind as it seems to rain more often than not when I get to hunt.
They are already placed in "strategic" spots , so to speak.
Private land, I wouldn't leave them on public land.

Put one up right out in the middle of a big wheat field with a few DSD decoys.., birds came a runnin from across the road.

Hunt. Like everyone said, they don't pay attention to them.  Had them in arms length before.  Also the best way to hunt with a kid.

Put it up, brush it in a little and enjoy yourself staying nice and dry.  I keep one in the back of my SUV just for rainy days so I can't make an excuse.

Wide open and they seemingly think nothing of it!  I was hunting out of a hub blind in PA one year and the birds kept coming and going in and out of the field at a certain section.  As soon as they went into the woods I picked the blind up over head and ran down to where they were, set it down and 30 sec later....one I called "Little Boy" came back out and I took him to the Boom Boom Room.  I wish I could have gotten a video of that hunt from a distance cause I was in that blind flying down that field edge.

Turkey don't mind them. Here's a couple tips though, if using a hub style blind, get some practice setting it up to 'break-it-in', they say sets up in 2 minutes, but, that's not always true. I still have a hard time getting mine set up quick, but have only been using them since last fall for deer season. Always keep the back side closed up.
Couple other things I did to mine- spayed them with a UV Killer ( because it was deer season ), light coat of water proofing ( just because they say it's water proof, doesn't mean it really is all the time ), and I gave both a good dosing of Sawyers. I don't mess around with ticks, everything gets treated including my tiny fold up hunting chair.

I use an umbrella that straps on the tree above my head and sit in a gobbler lounger.  Not as dry and worthless in a field.  But it works for me where I hunt.

I use them all the time bow hunting, and they don't seem to care.  Just make sure that you only open one shooting window to keep it dark inside.   Stake it down when it's windy, I've had to chase one before when a gust hit it
