Telephone scouting

I called my favorite deputy this morning to have him check water levels on a river area I'm thinking about hunting in the AM. There's several places I like along the river and I'm happiest when the water is a little high. Too high and it's hard to hunt. He called back telling me the river was ok and a tom with a 10" beard ran in front of him into a public area I sometimes hunt. It's good to have friends!
