NY season opened Monday.  First 3 days were real hot. Covered in birds called in a lot of jakes. Guy I hunt with seen 8 jakes... One spot I got skirted by a gobbler re set called him back in only to have him circle and come from behind me couldn't move. My brother shot a nice longbeard Thursday at one of our spots. On to the past couple days. It has been non stop rain. On top of the rain we've been getting. Flooding is becoming a problem. Most of my spots are prettty much not huntable. Entire fields are flooded creeks are way too high to pass. Shorelines along Lake Ontario are taking a beating with the real high lake levels. This rain needs to stop and soon!

My NY season started Monday without the birds being anywhere kill able. Couple of you know I have some health issues, the least of which is bad Lyme, the antibiotics I'm on are making me sick.
That being said I went out today n made it a few hours. Kinda quiet but I called 2 jakes n let em walk., Hopefully tomorrow I get a shot at a bigger bird. Good luck to the NY team mates n anyone else who's season is still open
