My son's first turkey
April 22, 2017, 07:52:24 PM
Finally on my son's last year for the youth hunt in Pa. I was able to call 2 jakes into the decoy. The previous years I had called gobblers in at less then 15 yards and miss 3 birds in 4 years. He was very happy and said turkey hunting is more exciting than deer.We worked a couple different birds this morning until we actually got these 2 to come. The neat part as they were walking in to the decoy 4 deer were right behind them !

Congratulations!! Hardest gobbler to kill is the 1st - especially when you're trying to get it done for your son. Enjoy the moment!!
