Me and my dad headed out to the farm this morning where we had a plan for a bird that got by us a few days ago. We got setup in the area the birds went the last time we were in there. As it got light a bird gobbled right where we were setup last time and I had high hopes that they would work our way. Once they hit the ground they gobbled pretty decent. I could soon see a longbeard in full strut coming right at us. I told my dad he was coming and he got ready. The longbeard was quickly closing the distance along with a jake he had with him. Once he was able to see the DSD jake it was over, he started doing the mean walk and my dad ended his day at about 20 yards. We were done by 6:35 this morning.
19lbs, 9in beard, 7/8 spurs
