Welcome to the club young man.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.

Congrats to your boy on his first gobbler and a very nice one at that.  Pretty cool that he made the decision to wait for a closer shot.  Hat's off to you for teaching him right.  :icon_thumright:

Super awesome.  "He's too far to shoot."  You should be proud, well done sir. :thanks:

You've got a lot of great memories coming your way.

Thanks guys. He's already a great conservationist. On our way to our spot he said "daddy if a little turkey comes out even if it has a beard I don't want to shoot it, let's let it grow so we can hunt it next year. " I'm so proud of him, he already knows and abides by the game laws better than most grown men.

Great job little guy (and big guy)!
That's a dandy 1st bird.
Blind and kids go together like kids and candy..........LOL
They can still get away with a few things.
Good choice on your set-up.
