Benelli sight 1/2 turn off

Just replaced the front sight on my SBE II with one off a Super Nova which is
bigger around. When snugged up I'm a 1/2 turn off.
Then tried it on my M2 and it aligns perfect. The part # for the SBE II and
M2 are the same.
I thought the front sights interchanged. Any ideals how to correct?
