Going out to Nebraska May 6th-12th for my first time this spring with a few buddies. Still undecided as to where to go? Not looking for anyones spots, but if anyone has any general direction or area they would recommend I'd appreciate any and all help I can get. Also, besides terrain, what else can I expect to be different hunting in Nebraska compared to Missouri? Thanks for any help.
Leadbelt a group of us just returned from an archery hunt in NW Nebraska. I had hunted NE Nebraska in the past and I thought that was amazing. Well the NW part of that state is even better.
I'm not sure what the gun hunting is like or how much hunting competition there would be at the time that you are going. Here was my experience for the week we were there.
The scenery and abundance of wildlife is very impressive. The elevation is something that I never really thought about but depending on your elevation of where you live. You might feel the impact of the elevation change. Birds were very vocal but still in fairly large flocks.
I was able to arrow this 2 year old on public land on the 4th day of my hunt. Shoot me a PM and I can give you some more detailed information.
Here is a picture I took from the top of one of the Buttes. This is overlooking the area that I killed my bird. Really neat part of the country.
