Don't see this wood to often in calls ,,,got around to doing some stabilizing and dropped one these blanks in tank ,,,got some great figure and pure turkey,,, almost hated to put the hole in back play slate but its a working call not shelf queen lol    Crystal Slate  ,,,,

Also known as Karelian birch. I have a alum over glass pot a friend made me out of this wood. This is the first time Ive seen another. Good looking pot.
