In a word - it sucked. Hunted hard for 3.5 days and never saw a long beard. Called in 2 jakes and 1 hen. All in all, it was the worst hunting I've experienced on this ground since I started hunting it. Hopefully the ship will be righted in SC later this week.

Yes there are days like that but it's early. Keep hammering on them, it's gonna get good before long.

I hit 3 of my spots this morning and not a single gobble. 35 degrees, clear and no wind, figured they would have lit it up. I seen one hen by herself yelping her head off and chasing crows around. No gobbler with her and nothing responded.  I'm guessing it's a little early and they just aren't as anxious as me.
