I sat up in his strut zone before daylight he starts firing off!! With a few slight tree yelps him and his friend cut me off!! They fly down and gobble a couple more times and the last time I could tell they were making a move towards me.. well about 30 mins pass and nothing. I'm just about to make a few soft clicks and purr with my mouth diaphragm and hear leaves crunching they step out of the pine thicket 10ft from me on my left side which I have a small cedar sapling between us, I'm in wide open hardwoods they stay just a sec and here comes there girlfriends and walk off behind me!! Every morning I've listened they have hit that same logging road and strutted on it.. guess where I will in the morning with no saplings beside me this time..
