I can't explain the differences... But I do know that Nitro Company said they could not get them to pattern as well as the old one.  They were supposed to be contacting them and asking to bring the old one back...

The major change was the lengthening of the parallel section.

I sold one of the old JH .660 for a Beretta Xtrema. Kicking myself for it now. It would shoot some great patterns with Nitro, HV 6's and Hevi 13 3/2/6's. Searched for one online and can't find.
