I am thinking about making a light box so I can take my turkey targets lay them on it so I can illuminate the front in relation to the back of the turkey target.  I normally hold it up and roughly trace the circle on back and then hold it to the sun to see the marked holes in relation to the picture.  With a light box I could count and see the picture at the same time.

Also if you use a color type bulb , say like a yellow one it should really show the holes better than a regular white bulb...what you think ?

I don't see how that'll help. Now you have something else to lug when patterning. How would you protect bulbs? Metal might work but now it's heavier. Not knocking your idea but questioning its practicality

I do all my shooting first on the range at my house then come in for a cup of coffee and do my counts on the kitchen table, so it would be something I would keep in the house.

Just use a window. Or cut a large plastic funnel so it mates to a maglight & lay the target on the other side.

I use the kitchen window too, works great but wife wants to know where the little black marks are coming from. Dont know what to tell her
