can a person condition his glass or crystal calls to much? What I mean is, on a new call is it better to put a good conditiioning on them or really condition the He77 out of them.  What and how much do you guys condition a new call?

what are you using to condition?  After reading about armoretch on here, I got some and it is awesome.

Good Luck,

you can go too far..... how far is too far?  you'll know it when you find it.  i scratch my surfaces just enough to get the sound i am after and then stop.  no sense in pushing it after you reach that point.

I got just about everything, primos slick stick , a regular sharpening stone that I have used, dry wall screen, stumpys conditioning stones, all kinds of different grit sand paper and emery cloth, pappys diamond wheels. Is armoretch the acid etch that you get at a hobby store, I have some calls with that on them and I still conditioned it alittle more... wasn't quite what I wanted, but it gives you a good base to condition it some more ..

good point, but sometimes I think it could sound better then when I  condition it more ,,, it doesn't

It seems I always end up with slick spots.  Or it seems that way with certain strikers.  I am very new to the game, but I look for the sweet spot and try to keep that sounding good.
