New to Trumpets-Ideas and Thoughts

Hey everybody...

I am interested in purchasing a trumpet for the upcoming turkey season here in NW Florida.  I have several wing bone calls and love using them at certain times during the year.  I would love to add the trumpet as an extra tool for my arsenal/locator call.

I have looked at the boards and have seen some of the manufacturers, the trumpet Sanatorium has for sale is really pretty.

Can I get a wood type recommendation and maybe a builder from the forum. 

Where I hunt there are some rolling hills, thick pine woods, some parts are swampy, etc...

Any trumpet from a reputable maker should serve you well. Wood choice is more about looks to me, a good maker isn't going to sell you a trumpet made from a wood that's not a good choice for sound.
