Youth season starts in 9 days here. I won't be going out then but will be in just over two weeks.

Anybody hearing or seeing anything? Updates?

Heard 2 gobble a total of 6 times between the two of them on public land Saturday morning. Not fully cranked up, but getting there. This was in the east central part of the state.

I have a friend that heard one yesterday gobble 2x. Private  land in SW part of Mississippi.

I've got pics of strutters with hens all around them. Heard one gobble once last week while checking coyote traps. Southeast part of the state.

I haven't had time to go listen yet, but I've seen several strutting in fields while out working in central MS.

I am in Noxubee. Right now it has just depended on the day. Two weeks ago I had several burning it up. This past saturday I heard 2 birds gobble a couple of times on the limb.

heard 2 in Lamar County yesterday. One gobbled 4-5x and the other gobbled 1x. Saw 2 longbeards with 3 hens, no strutting.

Heard a few gobbles this morning but still waiting for them to crank up good. Saw group of four longbeards easing across a fresh disc'd field this evening. No strutting. NW Delta inside the levee.
