Newbie here...well at least to Old Gobbler.
Been chasing gobblers for fully 40 years this spring.
Seen incredible changes. When I started, I remember only 1, maybe 2 commercially produced mouth calls. Friction calls were only little more available; pretty much a Lynch box or Tom Turpin scratch call. Got to know and visit frequently with Neil Cost. That's story for another day.
Don't remember 3" shells in 12 ga until a few years into the pursuit. Camo was WWII/Korea surplus or Vietnam "tiger stripe". There were no "store bought" camo guns...
I'm sure some other throwbacks from the 70's remember some of the same.
