Kick's .655 or .665

I have a .665 Gobblin' Thunder choke for my 870 with 21" barrel. Mainly shoot Winchester lead loads with good results. After doing some research and a little "over thinking", I am wondering if I could benefit from going to the .655 choke. Which size have you all gotten the tightest patterns from?

I have a kicks.655 in my Encore and a .655 in my Benelli,but I shoot HTL and ya I know it's not recommended. If your looking for tighter patterns you might want to try longbeards unless you already have through the .665 if you have tried them and it's not tight enough you never know unless you try. A few times I have gotten worse patterns by doing that,but has worked most of the time.

With the 21" barrel the Kicks .655 should definitely give you tighter patterns, especially if your shooting 5's and/or 6's.

I have Remington ventilators in three turkey guns. Two of them are 3 1/2 inch 870s one is a three inch 870s. They all shoot Winchester supreme 5 and 6 shot very well. Numbers are around 120s best I remember. The ventilator is the least expensive choke I have but I have had them for 5 or 6 years. Saw one on e-bay about a week ago but don't remember how much it cost. If you see a picture of a long, ported, Remington factory choke it is probably a ventilator. Great choke, especially for the money with lead. Long beards did not like it though.

Kicks .655 has been the best choke with both of my Rem 870" 21 bbl with standard lead and LB's.

Winchester XX 3/ 2/ 6's
Winchester Super X 3/ 1 7/8/ 6's
Win LB 3" 6's
Hevi 13 3/2/7's

These shot the best out of my set up.

.665 works best with #5's, .670 work best for #4's. You would think that a .655 would work better with #6's.
