I didn't get to hunt opening morning but did get to make it out that evening. Didn't have much action but it sure did feel good to get back out into the woods.

Getting close, 2-1/2 weeks til youth days n under 3 weeks til opener in NJ. Just over in ny. Birds though I'm seeing a lot have now moved into places I can't hunt but they're still moving n just starting the break up. Seeing lots of displaying n multiple gobblers w groups of hens in same fields. Getting close

Seen at least two strutters at one of my spots yesterday might have been 3. Deffinetely heating up! The 27th I head to Ohio. May 1st NY opener. Can't wait!

I'll be rolling into KY in approximately 164 hours (one week). Man, I can't wait!!! 

It's snowing here in NY right now...but will be mid 60's on sunday.
