John Sinclair CustomCalls

Season has started for me and it feels good to be spending more time in the shop! Eerrrrr.... when I'm not freezing out there, that is! Turned a number of pots and found a new variation of my standard striker to give quality sound at a lower (2-piece) price!

Updated the website to include direct orders from one place - please check it out and let me know what you think!! ... A couple of easy clicks will put a new John Sinclair in your hands faster than you can imagine!!

noisy box call that seems to sound like a flock of juvenile hens pecking their way through a wheat field

John which playing surface would you prefer after a titanium, I am wanting to buy two but not sure on the second.

Thanks Jon

That's honestly personal preference as to the sound you like. I love the waterproof slate and brass after the titanium. I always recommend you give me a call and I can play the different surfaces/sizes and let you determine what sound you're looking for. The wood used for the pot plays a huge factor in the sound also. My cell is 814-404-6164, I'm available after 4 on weekdays and anytime on the weekends.

Having played several surfaces that John makes, I would recommend the yellowheart slate over slate as a companion to the titanium.  Also do yourself a favor and pick up his one piece ebony striker.  It will play on anything.

Seriously the Old Yeller slate over slate is a super realistic slate pot that is extremely versatile.  It can get loud and make screaming yelps but also tone down to the tree talkin type of quiet stuff.  Hollow nasally clucks, nasty cutting, and with the right striker it will even kee kee which says a whole lot for a slate call in my book.
