Quote from: allaboutshooting on August 25, 2016, 07:52:55 AMAt this point, I've shot hundreds and hundreds of WLB shells, through a wide variety of turkey chokes. If the weather holds, I'll be at the range today and shoot 50+ WLBs through some different turkey chokes. If you want to purchase the Carlson's choke, a good product, I'd recommend that you go with their choke designed specifically for WLB shells. It has a .660 exit diameter and it's ported. I evaluated 32 different chokes in 7 different guns a while back and the Carlson's Long Beard choke in the Invector thread did well with good numbers and no gaps of 2" or more.http://www.nwtf.org/hunt/article/choking-winchester's-long-beard-xrI would definitely go with the #6 shot. You may want to buy a box of the 1 3/4 oz and a box of the 1 7/8 oz shells. Some guns pattern one of those better than the other but both should do well in your gun.Lastly, all the H&R pumps I've seen have excellent bores but really need to be "deep cleaned" to optimize their performance. You may find this to be helpful. http://allaboutshooting.com/blogs/blog/tagged/cleaning-a-shotgun-barrelPlease let us know how the WLB shells and whatever choke you choose work out for you and good luck in the turkey woods and fields. Thanks,Clark
