Life after turkeys... Girls, worms, and fish

I'd say that my favorite hunting seasons are turkey (spring) followed by tree squirrel (last summer) followed by deer (fall/winter). With squirrel opening up on August 1st, I've got several rimfire rifles to get ready, including a new one. I skin out and deliver many squirrels to mainly local older folks who enjoy eating them. While I really enjoy a mess of fried young gray squirrels along with some biscuits and gravy, most young adults do not hunt them nor want to eat them! There's generally no other hunters in the woods during squirrel season.
